Move In
Renting a unit at Area Storage of Aitkin is quick and easy! When renting a unit, you have the option to either Move In right away or Reserve a unit, which will hold the space for up to two weeks with a $25 reservation fee (which will be credited back to your account at move in)!
When you arrive at your unit, you will find a brand new disc lock inside. Once you move your belongings in, please make sure that you set your combination on the lock and install it on the unit door.
Move Out
If you no longer need your unit, please let us know two weeks prior to move out. To put in your notice, give us a call at 218-927-7927. Once you have moved your belongings out, please sweep the unit and send a photo of the empty/swept out unit to 218-927-7927.

- Head south toward 1st St NW
- Turn left onto 1st St NW
- Turn right onto Minnesota Ave N
- Aitkin Mini Storage will be on the left
From Brainerd, MN:
- Head east on Oak St toward S 6th St
- Turn left at the 1st cross street onto S 6th St
- Turn right onto MN-210 E/Washington St
- Continue to follow MN-210 E
- Pass by O’Reilly Auto Parts (on the left in 0.3 miles)
- In 10.7 miles, make a slight right toward Co Hwy 12/Co Rd 12
- Continue onto Co Hwy 12/Co Rd 12
- After 6.8 miles, continue onto MN-210 E/E Front St
- Continue to follow MN-210 E
- In 10.6 miles, turn right onto Minnesota Ave N
- Aitkin Mini Storage will be on the left
From Pequot Lakes, MN:
- Head south on Rasmussen Rd toward Main St
- Turn left at the 1st cross street onto Main St
- Continue onto Co Rd 11
- At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on Co Rd 11
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit and stay on Co Rd 11
- In 4.1 miles, turn left to stay on Co Rd 11
- In 17.2 miles, turn right onto MN-6 S
- Turn left onto Co Hwy 30/Co Rd 30
- In 5.9 miles, turn right onto Co Hwy 32/Co Rd 32
- In 1.7 miles, make a sharp left onto MN-210 E
- In 6.4 miles, turn right onto Minnesota Ave N
- Aitkin Mini Storage will be on the left
From Onamia, MN:
- Head north on S Pine St toward Main St
- Turn right at the 1st cross street onto Main St
- Turn left onto US-169 N
- In 37.8 miles, at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on US-169 N
- Aitkin Mini Storage will be on the right
